The two teenage boys, aged 13 and 14, were airlifted to hospital on Thursday after the crash in Fredericks Road, Hastings.

The crash involved a motorbike which was left on the floor and a BMW which had damage to its front.

Dillon Beeching, 23, unemployed, and Liam Hide, 21, a retail assistant, were arrested and charged with two counts of causing grievous bodily harm.

Beeching, of Grand Parade in Eastbourne, was also charged with driving without valid insurance and driving otherwise than in accordance with a licence.

They appeared before Hastings Magistrates’ Court yesterday, July 22.

Hide, of Ashford Road in Hastings, and Beeching have been remanded in custody to appear before Lewes Crown Court on August 18.

Sussex Police said the boys, both from Hastings, are no longer considered to be in a life threatening condition.

A Sussex Police spokesman said: “Officers continue to appeal for any witnesses or anyone with relevant footage to come forward, quoting Operation Glastonbury.

“They also remind the public that this is an ongoing investigation, and therefore ask people to refrain speculating about the incident on social media as this would risk prejudicing the case.”
